Secure Data Backup
A bare metall off-site backup service. Managed via a simple interface this service archives individual files or entire server data sets. The system can backup to a schedule you define and can be configured to retain changed files for up to 12 months - allowing you to restore files to any time or date in the past. Perfect for site upgrades which fail and reverting your site back to pre-sale prices if you run a complicated promotion. This system is constantly updated with new features and now offers continuous data protection (CDP) - this powerful option constantly streams files to our backup servers live as they change. No other backup option can compare.
Server Monitoring
Web based monitoring solution showing you status of web services as well as disk space, cpu usage
and network availability all with history of alerts. Subscribers will also receive email alerts of any
warnings/critical statuses and can subscribe to text alerts (via SMS) for server down and recovery so
you will always know the status of your server.
24/7 Engineer Support Upgrade
During our standard office working hours (8am - 5:30pm GMT) our support line is manned by trained engineers who will already be familiar with your account and your server hardware/software. Outside of these hours our engineers are re-deployed to perform network maintenance/server upgrades and strategic planning and support calls are logged by non specialist staff who will ensure engineers are alerted to respond. You can now upgrade our service level to 24/7 Engineer Support for a low monthly charge. This will enable you to directly speak to a trained engineer day or night for critical fault resolution.
Remote KVM/Lights Out/Remote PDU
Depending on your server specification we can offer you direct access to your server via a secure web interface. This flexible option allows you to reboot your machine 24/7 from anywhere you have net access and during reboot you will see the POST boot process and watch the server restarting. Continuous connection is provided allowing complete access identical to being in front of the machine yourself.
Shared Resources
As a dedicated server/co-lo customer you can take advantage of our shared hosting network if you
require additional applications such as MySQL/MSSQL databases or mail services these are all available to you.
Multi Platform
We can support most operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server family and Linux/Unix/Solaris. It is also possible to run sites across multiple operating systems if required.
Multi Server Architecture (ie Site on 1 server DB on another)
A popular option for busy sites provides you with multiple servers each tasks with individual processes. Certain operating systems can also support automatic load balancing with a virtually unlimited number of servers on standby for peak traffic periods.
